The other collaboration between them appears on the album Night Drive of Timecop1983, titled "Static". One of the collaborations appears on the album Nocturnal, titled "River of Darkness". The band had multiple collaborations with Timecop1983, another retro synth genre producer. The band went on to perform their second sell-out concert, taking place at the Globe Theatre on Broadway in Los Angeles in November 2017. In 2016, the duo released a 12 track LP, Endless Summer, followed in 2017 with the release of Nocturnal, which spent several weeks as a best seller on the music distribution website Bandcamp and reached number 17 on Billboard 's Dance/Electronic charts October 2017. Inspired in part by the score for Drive, and the retro synth genre growing around its release, the pair wrote two singles, "WeMoveForward" and "Gloria", that would be released two years later in 2014 as part of their debut EP titled Days of Thunder. The band was formed as a result of Lyle and McEwan meeting during a co-writing workshop in 2012 in North Hollywood, CA. The Midnight is a synthwave band composed of Atlanta-based singer-songwriter Tyler Lyle and Los Angeles-based Danish-born producer, songwriter, and singer Tim McEwan. I’m really digging the vibes for the Days Of Thunder remix and this other one called “ Pole“.Tyler Lyle, Nikki Flores, FM-84, Timecop1983, Scavenger Hunt, Jesse Molloy, Thomas Edinger, Rupert van E, William Pope, Dr.

I’ve never been a fan of drum and bass, until I heard what Proff’s been churning out under his Soultorque alias. If you like the songs, PLEASE support them by purchasing the album or just the songs ? Soultorque It’s progressive drum and bass! Is that a thing? It is now! Even without the sax, the remix is so insanely delicious! The track is drum and bass, but it’s also uplifting and progressive. The Soultorque remix of Days of Thunder is a great example of Proff’s talent. And has he produced some fantastic tracks under this new alias. Recently, Proff’s been experimenting with drum and bass under his alias “ Soultorque“. I’ve been a huge fan of the Russian producer and in fact two of my albums, Night Lights & Music That Makes Me ?, are heavily influenced by his remixes and works. The second track on the Days Of Thunder EP is remixed by one of my favourite producer/DJs, Proff. Days Of Thunder (Proff presents Soultorque Remix) If you liked the song, especially the saxophone solo, I’d highly recommend this video from the man behind the solo. I am not saying the video is bad, it’s just that it lacks that punch, that pizzazz which makes the song so damn energetic! But in my head, the imagery/video for this song is very, very different. I do love how it’s stayed true to it’s 80’s style. The video sort of destroys my impression of the song. Oh my god, the sax freaking awesome (courtesy Thomas Edinger)!!! The sax solo, which like any good song from the 80’s, eventually fades out. The song has all the right elements, from the drums to the sax.
THE MIDNIGHT DAYS OF THUNDER TV
Until I hadn’t seen the official video, the song, in my opinion, could have been a soundtrack for a hit 80’s TV drama that features a rebellious protagonist (David Hasselhoff, maybe) who fights bad guys and rides a bike. The title track from The Midnight’s album, Days Of Thunder is a tribute to the 80’s style of music. Sounds strange doesn’t it? Read on.Īfter their success with WeMoveForward, The Midnight released their second single from their album, Days of Thunder, a track by the same name. It features 2 tracks, which although extremely are the same couldn’t be more different than one another. The Midnight’s Days Of Thunder has to be one of my favourite EPs this year.
